‘From Heart to Paw’ project - helping homeless animals and their guardians Dear friends, we are pleased to announce that we are launching a new project called From Heart to Paw. The aim of the project is not only to support stray animals, but also to help volunteers, curators and caring people who care for these animals in difficult times for our country.

The urgency of the problem

Our foundation receives numerous requests for help for animals, as the situation with stray animals in Ukraine is deteriorating. A large percentage of animals ended up on the streets because of the hostilities in Ukraine. The death of owners, negligence of former owners who go abroad and leave animals to fend for themselves. 
At the beginning of the war, volunteer organisations recorded about 50,000 requests for animal rescue, but now this figure has increased to 140,000. These are only those who have someone to take care of them. The exact number of animals without guardians remains unknown.  The war has only worsened the situation, increasing the number of stray animals exponentially.

Statistics and challenges

According to UAnimals, the number of cats and dogs in shelters increased by 60% in the first year of the war alone. Animals are being evacuated from the war zones on a daily basis, but there is a catastrophic shortage of places in shelters. This puts additional pressure on volunteers and NGOs trying to provide all animals with the necessary resources to survive.

The funds raised within the project will be used to help homeless animals, shelters, volunteers, curators and guardians of stray animals, according to the requests received by the foundation.

Stories that touch the heart

Every day, volunteers meet animals that are left without shelter, protection and support. Each of these disadvantaged creatures deserves a new chance at life, a home where they are loved, warmth and care, which they lack so much. The project ‘From Heart to Paw’ opens new opportunities for these animals - it is a door to a new life where they can find their home.

How to get involved

Without your support, it will be impossible to achieve these goals. Your participation is the key to the rescue. Each of your donations provides animals with food, medicine, sterilisation and necessary treatment.
